A conductor, singer, composer, and musicologist, Philip Reed holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Furman University and master’s degrees in choral conducting from the University of Georgia and in comparative culture from International Christian University in Tokyo. His musical expertise runs the gamut from Gregorian chant, Renaissance, and Baroque music to new music, American folk music, and East Asian classical music. He has been featured as a guest conductor by The Riverside Church and S.C. Bach.
