The Upstate’s Professional Choir

We are Chicora Voices, a professional choral ensemble based in Greenville, South Carolina. Our mission is to bring world class choral performances to our home in the Upstate and the surrounding region.

Great Music

Our concerts bring together professional singers and instrumentalists from our local community and around the country to perform ambitious programs of fine choral music.

Service

As a former children’s choir organization, we carry forward Chicora Voices’ educational legacy through outreach performances, as well the after-school arts education programs we administer.

Philip Reed, Artistic Director

A conductor, singer, composer, and musicologist, Philip Reed holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Furman University and master’s degrees in choral conducting from the University of Georgia and in comparative culture from International Christian University in Tokyo. His musical expertise runs the gamut from Gregorian chant, Renaissance, and Baroque music to new music, American folk music, and East Asian classical music. He also serves as Director of Music and Choirmaster at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Taylors, SC.

Shih-Wei Annabelle Hung

With experience in social media management and photography, Shih-Wei Annabelle Hung brings a keen eye for visual storytelling and a passion for the arts, showcasing and elevating the creative projects of Chicora Voices.
